This is something I cannot understand about Mexico... In the last months the (Mexican) Green Party has been running a campaign where they tell the public that if the government doesn't provide you with a certain service (like health or education) the government should pay for it... While in principle I agree that the government should provide a safety net for ALL the Mexicans you cannot ask the government (in a demagogic way) to give money away for the sake of giving it away... BUT the thing that bothers me the most is that this party is just concern in making a profit out of the tax payers money, and having a life of standard way above the people they are supposed to represent, e.g. see this picture, in Mexico (as in other parts of the world) this is a really expensive car!!! This picture was taken in Puebla, the driver (maybe owner) of the car (a mid aged woman) was having breakfast in a small joint or fonda; she and (what I suppose were) her daughter and son were wearing shirts asking the people to vote for this party in the coming elections... -------------------------------------------------- Proyecto 365 México Mayo 2009 © All rights reserved.
