
El Hombre Azul - 2006 - (The Blue Man). Cerámica, 5 metres tall. The sculpture is located in "Paseo de San Francisco", Centro Puebla. The off street side of the Puebla Convention Centre is a lovely park with walking trails, a creek and several pieces of public art including "El Hombre Azul" by Bolivina artist José Miguel Bayro Corrochano. About Jose: BAYRO CORROCHANO, José Miguel (Cochabamba, Bolivia, 1960) .- Artist painter and sculptor. An architect by profession. He has a masters degree in painting given by the National School of Plastic Arts, UNAM, Mexico. He worked in under sculpture Saul Moreno, and lithographer Raul Soruco. He has exhibited since 1985 in Bolivia, Canada, USA and Mexico, where has lived since 1982. He has participated in biennials in Puerto Rico, France and Mexico. Armando Soriano said: Jose graduated from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (1985). With a master's degree in art from the Academy of San Carlos (1991), Born in Cochabamba, Bolivia, now he lives in the city of Puebla. His work has been exhibited in museums in Mexico, Bolivia and Europe. Some of his prints are part of the heritage of the First Museum of Engraving of Marbella, Spain; Academy of San Carlos, Mexico; the National Museum of Art, La Paz, The Opportunity House, Hendersonville, N.C., USA.
