From the archives. My father and I were attending a language school in nearby Cuernavaca. This was a field trip. Popocatépetl is a volcano just outside Mexico City, and at the time was a popular destination for Mexicans who wanted to play on the ash fields or to climb on the glacier. This area has since been closed due to eruptions.
