Our id winter visit to Mexico has arrived in Puebla. capital of the State of Puebla. The UNESCO Historic Center has over 2,500 monuments and is renowned for buildings covered in colourful azulejos (tiles). The city is the site of the famous 1862 "Cinco de Mayo" battle, where Mexican forces defeated the French army. Puebla is the birthplace of authentic Talavera pottery, a mix of Italian, Spanish, and indigenous techniques. The historic center of Puebla City was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Center in 1987.
