
Our visit to Puebla City is over and we are on the bus passing Popocatépet volcano on the way to Cuernavaca, capital city of the State of Morelos. Popocatépetl, meaning "Smoking Mountain" in Nahuatl, is a highly active, 5,426-meter (17,802-foot) stratovolcano located 70 km southeast of Mexico City. The volcano is one of the world's most dangerous and is known as "El Popo," El Popo has been active since 1994, frequently releasing ash and gas, posing hazards to over 30 million people living in its vicinity
